From Tallaght in Dublin, Andy started his career in kitchens at just 14. After graduating top of his class from Tallaght Institute of Technology, he was lured to London by top chef and restaurateur Shane Osborn. Andy spent most of his time working as Head Chef at L’Autre Pied and Pied á Terre whose Michelin stars he successfully retained. In 2017, fresh from his stellar career in London, Andy returned home to Dublin to partner on Glovers Alley
Glovers Alley by Andy McFadden is a contemporary, refined dining restaurant overlooking the iconic St Stephen’s Green in Dublin. Located in a 1930s-inspired dining room at The Fitzwilliam Hotel, the 70-seater restaurant is known for modern French-inspired cooking using predominantly local, seasonal ingredients. Glovers Alley was awarded its first Michelin Star in the 2022 Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland which it retained for 2023.
