Christian Puglisi’s(@chrifrapug) Sicialian heritage is at the heart of his gastronomic being. His passion for a career in cooking led him into some of the world’s most influential kitchens, including Noma and elBulli, working with master chefs René Redzepi and Ferran Adrià. Together with co-patron and restaurant manager Kim Rossen, Christian opened restaurant Relæ (2010) in Copenhagen. Relæ was awarded its first Michelin star in 2012 and a nomination as the 56th best restaurant in the world according to San Pellegrinos ‘50’s best restaurant’.
Christian also owns Manfreds og Vin, which is located directly opposite restaurant Relæ in Copengahen and is now a popular wine bar. Puglisi has a deep focus on the development of his dishes and works creatively in the restaurants small test-kitchen daily. In addition, both Relæ and Manfreds have the Danish organic certification, making Relæ the only Michelin starred restaurant with an organic certification in the world.
