Deirdre Doyle

Deirdre Doyle, a mum of 3, set up The Cool Food School in 2018, to teach children about food in a fun, interactive way in response to the childhood obesity epidemic. A graduate of the Hotel and Catering Management degree programme at GMIT and more recently the Irish Institute of Health and Nutrition, where she received a BTEC advanced diploma in nutrition and health coaching, Deirdre is passionate about food education for children and offering parents an alternative way to deal with the current poor food landscape.

She has brought her unique food workshops to almost 5,000 children in preschools, schools and at events like Bloom 2019, Taste of Dublin, Taste of Wicklow and  the Festival of Food at Airfield Estate.

Zack Gallagher of Irish Food Guide described her as “one of the best educators of healthy eating for kids I’ve ever seen” at Bloom this year.
