Frida Ronge was born in 1985 and grew up in the west coast Swedish city of Gothenburg. Currently living in Stockholm Frida is the Culinary Director of Restaurant TAK and UNN. The city centre restaurant, one of the largest in Stockholm, opened in March 2017 and can be described as having a Nordic Japanese style. Frida has been working with Japanese flavours and techniques since 2007 but using Nordic ingredients, specifically sustainable and local ingredients as much possible and her ‘heart is for the ocean’. She became an MSC ambassador (Marine Stewardship Council) for Sweden in 2018 and wants to help inspire people to use sustainable ingredients from the water, both for restaurants and for home cooking.
Her cook book, Rå som sushi was published 2017, the focus of the book is sustainable seafood with Nordic and Japanese techniques.
