Jaden Mascarenhas was born in Mumbai, India, and raised across the Middle East, spending his formative years between India and Kuwait before moving to Dubai at age 11. Currently, a fourth-year Culinary Arts and Gastronomic Science student at ATU Galway and working at Kai Galway under Jess Murphy.

His passion for cooking was ignited early, leading him to enter his first professional kitchen at age 12 during a school break, where he discovered his calling. He honed his skills at Ossiano Dubai under Chef Grégoire Berger before relocating to Galway.

He has gained valuable experience in Ireland at Kai and Ashford Castle. As a Taste the Atlantic Ambassador, he is dedicated to promoting the rich culinary heritage of Ireland’s Atlantic coast, focusing on sustainable seafood and local produce while infusing his Indian heritage into his cooking.
