James Petrie (@chefjocky), is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most innovative and imaginative Development and Pastry Chefs. James brings eagle-eyed attention to detail, a flair for culinary creativity and experience from some of the world?s best restaurants to his role as Gordon Ramsay Group Executive Development Chef. James began his kitchen career as a pot washer in his native Oban, in Scotland, and after a brief period of study at Perth College, he began working at Kinnaird House Hotel and was quickly promoted to Head of Pastry within six months. In 2001, James returned to the UK and joined The Fat Duck, where he quickly rose to the role of Head Pastry Chef during the same time that the restaurant achieved its third Michelin star. Petrie joined Gordon Ramsay Group after completing a year-long post, created specially for him, as Head of Development at two Michelin star restaurant The Ledbury in Notting Hill. James is well-known on British television with regular appearances on both Masterchef and Masterchef: The Professionals.
