How Koji Builds Community#FOTE2023

Jennifer Rothman is the Founding Director of the Yellow Farmhouse Education Center, a non-profit located on Stone Acres Farm in Connecticut, US, that cultivates connections through food and farm-based education. She also co-founded Kojicon, an annual virtual gathering of koji enthusiasts from around the globe, with Rich Shih.

Prior to her work at Yellow Farmhouse, she was the education director at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in Tarrytown, NY and the Vice President of Children’s and Public Education at The New York Botanical Garden. She holds a BA in environmental biology and a MS in Museum Studies and has nearly thirty years of experience building programs for museums, gardens, and farms.

Jennifer lives in Connecticut with her husband and three children.
