Luke French is Head Chef & Co-owner of Restaurant Jöro in Sheffield, England, run by himself and his partner Stacey. It’s a unique restaurant set in 4 up-cycled shipping containers, serving seasonal plates with unusual flavour combinations and methods that draw on New Nordic cuisine. The restaurant focuses heavily on the care and sustainability of ingredients and simplicity of cooking with a gentle nod to Asian ingredients & techniques.
The restaurant is cool, relaxed and informal, a place where Luke & Stacey would feel at home had it be someone else’s restaurant but with a very high calibre of cooking & service at the beating heart of it, that’s what they set out to achieve.
After just a year the restaurant has gained high praise from the locals but also The Michelin Guide with a Bib Gourmand in the first few months, 3 AA Rosettes and The Good Food Guide among some great National press, and they are only just warming up.
