Mavis Ramazani

Mavis Ramazani is the founder of Cooking for Freedom A grassroots collective led by current/former international protection applicants who recognise that food is powerful. 
She is on the Board of Director for The Places of Sanctuary in Ireland, a multi-award winner in the field of Community, Justice, and Integration. Mavis was the SHEROES Global Award winner awarded by Cllr Yemi Adenuga, Dublin Mayor Award Winner awarded by former mayor Cllr Hazel Chu, Community Builder, Social Justice Advocate for Women and Girls from a socially marginalized background, Mentor, Project Officer for the Irish Refugee Council supporting Refugee Women to secure sustainable employment and pathways to entrepreneurship. Nominated to the 2022 ‘Diverse In’ List of Women Who Break the Bias Globally, Lover of uniting communities using the power of Sharing Food. An active member of the Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland and Refugees and Migrant Solidarity Ireland.
