Monika Madra and Jan Pawlak are Two polish travellers living with their two children and a dog in Copenhagen where they’ve been running a vibrant and eclectic bakery & eatery called Seks since 2021.
Seks is full of their memories, flavours and aromas they’ve been collecting while travelling around the world. Their kitchen is almost 100% organic, farm to table, as much as possible local and Danish. Years ago, after many travels they decided not to use meat in their food trying to convince people to eat at least less meat as the only possible way for our future. Seks is like home, open to all, bringing people together around tables over food, drinks and stories. Monika and Jan are inspired by all those good, hard-working people they’ve met in their tiny family restaurants or one?person kiosks, shacks, carts and on those colourful, low-slung stools, in hawker markets, dai pai dongs and warungs.
