Roberta Hall-McCarron

“How my childhood has influenced my food” #fote2023

Roberta opened her first restaurant, The Little Chartroom in 2016, followed by Eleanore in 2021, both in Leith Edinburgh. Roberta has worked in kitchens since the age of 16 with a brief stint in Dubai before returning to Edinburgh to work in Michelin-starred The Kitchin, and sister restaurant Castle Terrace as head chef. Roberta has appeared on Great British Menu in 2020 and 2021 representing Scotland, both times making it to the final and in the latter winning the fish course which she cooked at the banquet.

Roberta’s menus are influenced by her childhood memories of sailing the Scottish coastline and her love for her country’s produce. She was most recently shortlisted for GQ Best Chef 2023.
