Ronan Fox is an award-winning Aramark chef, who has been head chef at Mayo University Hospital since March 2015.
Originally from a hospitality background, Ronan has embraced the challenges and opportunities of the healthcare industry, delivering tailored food experiences that reflect the diverse nutritional needs of the modern patient. Ronan has received recognition for his modified menu delivery and believes that a quality healthcare service must extend beyond clinical excellence alone.
Ronan admires Food on the Edge for its pioneering perspective on the future of food and believes its outlook would greatly enhance any restaurant or kitchen environment.
In his spare time, Ronan volunteers at events like Cycle Against Suicide, Food Fleadh Ballina, Bonniconlon Agricultural Show, Taste of Mayo and The Future of Food event in Galway.
Ronan trained in DIT Cathal Brugha Street and GMIT and has gained work experience in both France and Denmark. Ronan has previously been nominated for Aramark’s prestigious Chef of the Year competition.
