A pioneer of the farm-to-table movement, Simon Rogan opened his first restaurant L’Enclume in Cartmel in The Lake District in 2002. Today it holds two Michelin stars, and was awarded the top spot in the 2019 Good Food Guide.
Simon opened his second venture in Cartmel, Rogan & Co, in 2008 which won its first Michelin star in 2018. In 2016, he launched Aulis at L’Enclume, his first chef’s table and development kitchen. Aulis also arrived in London in October 2017, acting as the creative hub for Simon and his team of chefs in London.
Simon created Roganic, originally a pop-up and now a permanent restaurant in Marylebone’s Blandford Street which received its first Michelin star within one awarded year of opening in 2018. Aulis and Roganic Hong Kong opened in early 2019. Roganic Hong Kong won its first Michelin star in December 2019 – the fifth star awarded across the group.
October 2019 saw the opening of Henrock, Simon Rogan’s new informally elegant restaurant set within Linthwaite House, a contemporary country house hotel in the heart of the Lake District. He is also the current UK president for the prestigious Bocuse d’Or.
